Understanding the NDA Exam:

Purpose and Scope : The NDA exam aims to select candidates for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 3-year course leading to the award of a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)

Eligibility Criteria : Candidates must be unmarried male Indian citizens or subjects of Nepal/Bhutan. They should have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board or university.

Selection Process : The NDA exam consists of a written examination followed by an interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The written exam will have two papers – Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT).

Written Examination:

Mathematics : The Mathematics paper covers topics such as Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics, and Probability.

General Ability Test (GAT) : The GAT paper includes English and General Knowledge sections. The English section tests candidates’ understanding of English grammar and vocabulary. The General Knowledge section covers topics like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Events.

Exam Pattern : The NDA exam is conducted twice a year, usually in April and September. It is a pen-and-paper-based test, and candidates must mark their answers on an OMR sheet. The duration of both the paper is 2.5 hours.

SSB Interview :
